xmas activities

If this had been your usual year, you would already have booked a family vacation during school holidays for Christmas and New Year. Unfortunately, the pandemic has compelled us to cancel/postpone travel plans for safety reasons. But, fret not. We have lined up some cool activities to keep your kids entertained during the school break and bring some festive cheer in their life.

  • DIY Christmas Décor

The internet is loaded with DIY ideas for X-mas décor. Why not indulge your kids in some age-appropriate arty-crafty fun instead of buying readymade trinkets from the market? Then, you can set up your X-mas tree and adorn the whole house with homemade décor items!

  • Online Activity Camps

From music & dance and STEM & robotics to Christmas parties and talent contests, several online activity camps and events are taking place during the winter school break. You can enrol your kids in these workshops to keep them engaged for a few hours a day. Check out Kidwise recommendations on holiday-special hobby classes and activities/events for your children.

  • Activity Box Subscription

These days, you can subscribe to curated activity boxes for your kids according to their age group. These boxes contain educational games, books, art & craft supplies and much more interesting stuff. Read more about the popular activity boxes here.

  • Visit the Malls, Activity Centres and Toy Shops

If you are comfortable taking your kid outdoors in the city, take them to visit the malls and activity centres. Activity centres such as Hands On and SkyJumper Trampoline Park have opened the doors to their patrons. All malls and shops are decked up in Christmas glory and have even arranged special activities for children. For instance, Hamleys India has lined up evening Christmas parade in its outlets. Wouldn’t your kids love to meet and greet Santa and make their wishes come true?

Of course, you need to take all COVID-19 safety precautions before stepping out of your home and also follow the safety rules laid down at public places.

  • Go for a Much-Needed Holiday Maybe?

Many folks are daring to go on a family vacation to beat the pandemic gloom and rejuvenate themselves. If at all you are planning a holiday, check out these useful tips to travel with your kids in the times of COVID-19.

This is a difficult year but hopefully, we will resume our routine fearlessly within a few months. How are you planning to keep your kids busy during the winter holidays?

Here are some sample reviews from parents, to help you to share your own experiences:

Best classes for mathematics in Erandwane/Kothrud area. Limited kids per batch and give personal attention. We had a very good experience. My daughter is happy with teaching by ***** teacher.

Very engaging and fun filled sessions for the kids .My 8 year old throughly enjoyed all the sessions. Kids get a platform to express their views on various topics. Suggestion is to make this workshop extended from 1 month to 2 months or more.

My child has made excellent growth. The teacher gives attention to every child adequately and my child is very eager to attend the classes. And the teacher also has excellent skills in art.

We have seen ***** school growing from a pretty new school to a developed school in last four years. They focus lot on academics, extra curricular  actives and lot more.  They embed a lot of fun activities with academics which makes kids picks the basics as well as advance topics pretty well.  Teachers are attentive and they provide a very elaborated feedback about the child on quarterly basis. In short it's fairly a good option for kids for their overall growth.

Highly mismanaged branch of *****. Poor planning. No proper communication with parents. Teacher retention is very low. Good teachers gets transferred to other centres. In past 3-4 years 3 principal changed. Everything they do is for name sake. Workshops/ seminars are more of a sales  pitches. 10% return of value for your money.
