4 Reviews on “Victorious Kidss Educares - Kharadi”
One of my office colleague’s 5 year old went to this school last year. Both parents are working and school provides after school care. The girl would leave around 7 am in the morning and return around 6 in the evening. The parents were quite happy with the arrangement and overall development.
IB curriculum and methodology is what made me select this school for my children. The methodology is very different from the way we were taught in school. Children focus more on understanding concepts practically. My then 4 year old’s class went for a walk within the school campus identifying the various shapes when they were learning shapes in maths. My older one went out to the school garden to learn photosynthesis. I was amazed and happy at the school’s approach. It is really important. IB certification has costs and hence the school fee is understandably high but the school needs to focus more on hiring IB trained teachers because finally they define the quality of education being imparted. The approach road to the school has been a nightmare in rainy season, the school cannot keep ignoring that and needs to sort that out!
VKE,a school employing futuristic curriculum with a spiritual base. It’s an IB school and so the teaching methods and the curriculum is obviously way different than the conventional CBSE/ICSE. The focus is more on a practical approach towards learning.Development of life skills is considered equally important as academics. They have a good balance of academics and extracurricular activities as a part of the curriculum.A wide range of sports coaching is provided under ‘after school’ activities. The school believes in collabarative efforts towards child development and so parental inputs are sought for in planning some aspects of learning. They have one on one parent-teacher meetings that can be scheduled as and when the parents wish. Student- teacher ratio is good.Classrooms are well ventilated and equipped with smart boards.Library is well maintained and updated. All kids have RFID tagged identity cards. Hygiene standards are top class. They have a very clean cafeteria serving nutritious food. The school is economical compared to other IB schools in Pune. Any greivance by parents is entertained, given due attention and is promptly redressed. The Principal and the President are very approachable and always welcoming towards the parents. Every first and third Saturday is a holiday and the other Saturdays are half days. The patience, empathy and the optimism of the teachers is phenomenal.VKE indeed stands up to it’s motto of ‘learning to love to learn’.
It’s a good IB board affiliated school in the Kharadi vicinity. Though teacher quality is not very nice , they dnt have experience of teaching IB board , mostly are freshers. Teacher attrition is also high, they leave school in middle of session. School has high fees so it doesn’t go well for their reputation to not focus on their quality of teachers. IB board curriculum is superb, topics and ways of teaching is amazing n much advanced then cbse. For this very reason we are continuing with our son in vke.
I agree that the IB curriculum and methodology is really amazing. However, the big issue with IB as you mention, is the teachers. Not specific to VKE, but if the teachers are not IB trained themselves, they cannot do justice to the curriculum and it becomes a mish-mash..my two bits.
